Now that my children are old enough to stay at home alone, my husband and I have been taking advantage of the fact and frequenting downtown Minneapolis for dinner. Although we have tried to make it a habit to visit someplace new every visit, somehow we end up at the same places each time. The ones my husband prefers are the restaurants with the ?rooftop? option. Granted, they don?t overlook a tropical beach or a snow capped mountain, but they do overlook the city and its crazy, downtown atmosphere, not to mention the people of the city themselves. It?s fun, especially on an exceptionally clear and mild day, to partake in fancy foods and exotic beverages while sitting several stories above the earth.
And since we like to share our experiences with others, we have also made it a habit to treat our out of town guests to a ?night on the town?. This is especially fun when the out of town guests don?t have a nearby city with which they can do this themselves. This was the case for my sister-in-law and her girlfriend who hail from a town in central Kansas. They would surely have to drive a long way just to see a four story building, let alone be able to eat on it?s rooftop. Alana even got to taste her first Sushi! And since it was just a couple of days before our wedding anniversary, it was double the fun to have something to celebrate.
I think the smiles from that night tell most of the story!

We love to treat our friends and family to a night on the town when they come to visit us. The rooftop bars in the city that we like to frequent are always fun. This night was no exception. The weather was perfect and the company was better!
